Celebrating The Date 15 Years Ago

The above photos are from Montgomery's birthday party in 2006. Montgomery came to Cat Welfare in March 1991. She came to us when she was just 5 weeks old. She had been adopted several times but each time was returned because she would not use the litter pan consistently. She said she'd rather live at the shelter anyway and that she purposefully did not use the litter pan all the time so she could come back to us. She got her wish to live with us permanently in 2000. She had a cute habit of always having her tongue sticking out a little bit. If she wanted to, she could make herself the most asked about cat in the shelter by drawing a lot of attention to herself. Montgomery seemed to have quite a large fan club of men! They always seemed to fall prey to her charms. However, she also loved the ladies, too. We're glad that we could fulfill her wish in having a forever home at our shelter.

Sadly, Montgomery passed away on Monday, January 8, 2007 and she will be missed by many. We all feel lucky to have been a part of her life and happiness.
