Because of their various medical or behavioral problems, the Guardian Angel cats featured on this page are permanent residents of Cat Welfare (a no-kill cat shelter in Columbus, Ohio). They will always have a home at Cat Welfare and, with your help, they can also benefit from extra care and attention. Your generous donation, which is tax deductible, will ensure these cats, and the other cats in our care, are provided with veterinary care, vaccinations, medicine, food, litter, toys, love, and a home at our shelter. Join the Guardian Angels Program today, and you can follow the life of a Cat Welfare cat, become involved in his life, and offer him some extra love and attention.
Do you have room in your heart to become a cat's Guardian Angel today?
What exactly is the Guardian Angels Program all about?
On this page we will feature cats that are looking for Guardian Angels. Each has a unique story, but they all share something in common, and that is Cat Welfare. Their stories showcase the diversity of cats at Cat Welfare. Together they represent the many lives that Cat Welfare saves each day, thanks to people like you, who take the time to care about what happens to them. These cats are ones that probably will never be adopted--some have health or behavioral problems that prevent them from being adopted--and, therefore, they are permanent residents at our shelter. Please, take a moment to read their stories and choose a favorite that you would like to sponsor. Just click on the photo of any cat and read his or her story. It will pop up on a new page in your browser so if you are using a popup controller, you will need to keep that in mind (generally holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard while selecting the link will instruct your browser to allow the window to open.)

How does the Guardian Angels Program work?
When you select a cat that you would like to sponsor, you will be one of their Guardian Angels for an entire year. We are featuring two Sponsorship levels:
Silver Angel - You will receive the story and a 4" x 6" new color photograph of your Guardian Angel cat, a letter confirming your sponsorship, and a cute magnetic photo frame in which you can display your cat's photo.
Gold Angel - As a Gold Angel sponsor you will receive all the Silver Angel items, plus a mid-year update on your sponsor cat (including a note from your cat and a recent photograph) and a special Guardian Angels cat pin.
NOTE: Due to the overwhelming number of phone calls the shelter receives daily from people needing our help, the staff is unable to accept phone call inquiries about how the sponsor cats are doing. You can always e-mail us at ariley@catwelfareohio.com to see how your kitty is doing. Of course, feel free to stop by the shelter to visit your special friend!

I'm ready to sponsor a cat!
It's easy to set up your sponsorship. Just click on the picture of the cat you would like to sponsor, and his or her page will open in a new window. It will pop up on a new page in your browser so if you are using a popup controller, you will need to keep that in mind (generally holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard while selecting the link will instruct your browser to allow the window to open.) On that page you will find two ways to set up a sponsorship. You can pay instantly via Paypal with your credit card or you can print out a page and send it to us in the US mail along with a check made out to Cat Welfare.
