Cat Welfare Association
Jumpy has lived at Cat Welfare since July 2000. His beautiful, orange tiger markings and cute face have always drawn people to him. Many times you will find him stretched out in a cute pose looking absolutely adorable. When Jumpy came to the shelter, he was so wild that no one could touch him. He has come a long way since then. He still will run off and shy away if someone startles him. However, he does crave attention and is even comfortable sitting in someone’s lap. The trick is he has to approach the person. Jumpy has always suffered from a mild case of upper respiratory disease and also has feline herpes (which is where he gets his runny eyes from). His crinkled ear is the result of a hematoma. Jumpy sees Cat Welfare as his home and is very affectionate with the other shelter cats. His favorite things are sleeping in the sun on the sun porch (or near a window) and getting attention from people that sit down to relax or pet the kitties.
UPDATE: April 2011 - Jumpy has been officially adopted and moved to Arizona the first week of April to live with his new family! Thanks to everyone that has been Jumpy's sponsor and cared about him. If you would like to hear how he is doing in his forever home, then feel free to send an e-mail to email@example.com or visit his Facebook page.
