Cat Welfare Offers Low Cost Altering Programs

Helping people find a low cost way to spay & neuter their cats has always been one of Cat Welfare's goals. Cat Welfare offers low cost altering at several local veterinary offices, free* altering for qualified low income families (* - $10 application processing fee is charged), and free altering services for cats living in feral cat colonies.
If you have a pet cat that needs to be spayed or neutered, then please download and print off one of the low cost forms at the bottom of this page. If you have questions about our altering program or need further assistance, then please contact the shelter at 614-268-6096 between 11:30am and 3:30pm -or- you can send an e-mail to us that includes your full name, phone number, & complete mailing info by clicking here.
If you are a feral cat colony caregiver, then please call the shelter at 614-268-6096 between 11:30am and 3:30pm. Our staff can give you information about our free feral cat altering program. Please, note that this program is solely for cats that live in feral cat colonies and cats (indoor or tame outdoor) are not eligible to participate in this program.
Cat Welfare will also be holding mobile altering events throughout the year at the shelter (and other Columbus locations). All mobile clinics are by appointment only. Mobile clinic dates set for the summer of 2008 are as follows:
July 9, July 16, July 28, July 30, August 12, August 13, August 20, and August 21
Cat Welfare is committed to reducing the stray and homeless cat population in Columbus, and your help in this effort is greatly appreciated. In order to maintain your privacy, we are not asking for an income statement. We do ask that you choose the application appropriate to your needs so that we can more fairly assist those with the greatest financial need.
